This minisympsium seeks to present state of the art research on the integration of contemporary imaging technology directly utilized in computational models in biomedical applications, such as the cardiovascular, musculo-skeletal, and other body systems.

The topics of interest include:
- Level of detail and accuracy of image-based geometry
- Validation and verification in the context of image-based models
- Medical device design and population-representative models
- Advances in engineering software for image-based modeling and simulation
